Meet Our Attorney Heidi Avila - Legal Attorney
Attorney Heidi Avila was born in the Hill neighborhood in New Haven, Connecticut. Attorney Avila attended public schools in the inner city of New Haven all of her young life. As a young child, she has always been interested in the issues affecting inner-city youth.
Educational Background
Attorney Avila is a law practitioner who graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Honors, and was a University Scholar from the University of Connecticut in 1998. Subsequently, she graduated from the University of Connecticut School of law in 2002. During her attendance at UCONN, she had always been interested in issues of access and equality.
Therefore, after graduating from law school, she worked for the Connecticut Legal Rights Project from 2002-2003 and for Statewide Legal Services from 2003-2004. In late autumn 2003, she opened her practice.

Attorney Avila has been an experienced collaborative practitioner in New Haven, Attorney in family, bankruptcy, and real estate matters. She has been very involved in the community and served as the Vice president and President of FLECHA's from 2005-2008.
As a community outreach service, Attorney Avila has conducted an annual Free Legal Clinic at the annual FLECHA Festival. In 2007, she was appointed as a member of the Statewide Grievance Review Board for Fairfield County for a three-year term.
